We are looking for motivated students with a strong interest in the mining industry. Our internship program is 10 weeks long, in which you will receive important industry training and get involved in meaningful real-world projects like planning a program, designing a process, or implementing technology. The culmination of your program will include an opportunity to present your work to management.
- Assist with general material handling
- Assist with milling operations
- Assist with oxide and sulfide leaching operations
- Assist with solution extraction and electro-winning operations
- Assist with lab operations to include flotation reagent testing
- Assist with process mapping
- Assist with maximizing grade and recovery
- Evaluate regrind circuits
- Evaluate ball mill cyclone optimization
- Assist with other metallurgical projects as assigned
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Our offer will require at least a ten-week internship commitment between mid-May and mid-August.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level
- Must be majoring in Metallurgical Engineering, Mine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mineral Processing, or closely related Engineering discipline
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Time management skills in performing multiple projects with various team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and make recommendations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Experience Required: No previous experience required.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking and some exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures (not for all majors)
Duration:Requires at least a ten-week internship commitment between mid-May and mid-August.
