Total Product Services, LLC (TPS) is a rapidly growing company supporting the oil and gas process equipment market. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer
to support fabrication projects involving fired heaters, thermal oxidizers, flares, pressure vessels, skids, and structural frames. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on producing
fabrication-ready drawingsusing SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate understands how designs translate directly to the shop floor and can work independently from concept through final fabrication packages.
- Develop 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
- Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD for layouts, details, and shop packages
- Create fabrication-ready drawings including weld details, BOMs, and cut lists
- Support design of oil & gas equipment such as fired heaters, thermal oxidizers, flares, pressure vessels, skids, and piping assemblies
- Incorporate redlines and shop/field feedback into revised drawings
- Coordinate with fabrication, project management, and internal teams
- Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and documentation
- 5–6 years of mechanical design or drafting experience
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (assemblies, weldments, detailed drawings)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience producing fabrication and shop drawings
- Familiarity with oil & gas equipment and fabrication practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Fired heaters, thermal oxidizers, or flares
- Pressure vessel or ASME fabrication
- Skid-mounted equipment design
- Direct collaboration with fabrication shops
- Basic piping layout knowledge
