Marketing Communications Project Specialist II leads the development and execution of detailed project plans for foundation/community affairs initiatives and integrated marketing communications (IMC) campaigns tied to key business priorities. This role partners closely with foundation/community affairs, business stakeholders, and MarCom account managers to align on strategy, target audiences, and desired outcomes. It ensures timely, strategic execution of IMC programs that deliver measurable impact for our customers, communities, and company. Primary responsibilities include managing project timelines and budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing administrative support to drive communication and execution of priority initiatives.
- Supports the development of long- and short-term foundation project plans including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources.
- Under a moderate level of guidance establishes and manages timelines in project management software, including managing approvals.
- Engages stakeholders to clearly define responsibilities and associated tasks, fostering alignment and accountability. Facilitates effective communication across teams and serves as a central point of contact when multiple resources are assigned to a shared initiative.
- Reviews quality control status throughout the development of a project to maintain desired standards.
- Assists in executing projects and initiatives that align with and support the foundation/community affairs’ mission.
- Provides administrative support to foundation/community affairs operations including monitoring communications and managing backend systems.
- Works with account manager to collect post-campaign data and conduct project analysis to report performance, insights, and recommendations.
- Ensures proper use of Alliant Energy brand, trademarks, and logos internally and externally.
- Reviews and tracks project expenses to ensure budget compliance.
- Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
- Bachelor's Degree Marketing and/or Communications, or related field. Preferred
- 3-5 years of combined experience in marketing, communications, or project management.

This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
