Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Reporting to the Key Lake General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary operations team to safely and reliably operate the mill, meeting production commitments while steadily seeking to improve reliability and predictability of operations. You will set your departments up for success by developing a world class team of operations leaders. As a part of the Key Lake senior leadership team, you will be responsible for setting overall site goals.
- Monitor and control mill budget and control department expenditures including material requirements and equipment.
- Lead and support operations and technical teams through plant upgrades and technological advancements.
- Plan and oversee ore receiving and mill production activities.
- Plan and set annual department goals relating to safety and ensure that high safety and environmental standards are maintained.
- Coach and mentor site leaders to develop their full potential.
- Bachelor in a technical field or a diploma and equivalent experience
- 15 years of combined experience in an industrial setting
- Five years of experience in a senior supervisory role
- Work an irregular schedule, Monday to Thursday, and commute to site by aircraft

Salary Range: $201,000 – $251,000
