Dimension Energy develops, owns, and operates community solar projects that tap into existing infrastructure, generate power where it is needed, and provide low-cost clean electricity to surrounding communities. Our community solar projects give everyone the opportunity to share the benefits of clean, renewable energy. With over 2,000 MWs of pipeline under development, we are building a leading distributed generation IPP platform.
The Dimension Markets and Revenue Team is responsible for all aspects of subscriber origination and management, revenue generation, and overall market management for both projects that are in development and operating. Our team is responsible for:
· Maximizing project revenue by originating all subscribers and maintaining fully subscribed projects from the commercial operation date through the life of the project
· Establishing and maintaining Dimension's market position in each state where we operate by securing program capacity and by promoting the Dimension brand of community solar
· Providing timely, accurate data that allows for clear reporting on key operational metrics to both internal and external stakeholders
In certain markets such as Illinois and New York, Dimension’s target subscribers for its community solar projects are commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. Market-specific rules, credit rates, and financing requirements further shape our subscriber acquisition strategy, leading us to focus on specific C&I customers of different sizes and types. Dimension’s approach to C&I subscriber origination centers on establishing direct relationships with C&I subscribers and building out in-market channel partners rather than relying on aggregators. As the Manager of C&I Origination, you will be responsible for originating and closing new commercial customers for Dimension’s project portfolio.
You will sit on the Markets and Revenue team and report to the Director of Channel and Community Partnerships. You will focus on Illinois and New York to start and work closely with the rest of the Markets and Revenue team to onboard and manage customers. Your success will be measured by your achievement of C&I subscription goals as well as KPIs related to cost savings.
· Work closely with colleagues across the Markets and Revenue team to identify C&I subscription needs on new and operating projects and develop subscriber acquisition plans that align with applicable program requirements
· Work closely with Project Finance team and Market/Customer Acquisition Managers to define Investment Grade offtake requirements and develop C&I subscriber acquisition plans that align with those needs
· Originate, negotiate, and close C&I subscription contracts through a variety of methods, including RFP/RFQ responses, for customers including large and small corporates, school districts, municipalities, and nonprofits
· Expand Dimension’s C&I channel partner/broker network by negotiating and signing new channel partner agreements
· Manage the subscription of C&I customers brought in through existing brokers including analyzing subscription sizes, drafting subscription agreements and preparing onboarding materials for our aggregators
· Source subscribers that meet Investment Grade offtake requirements for financing
· Effectively hand off administration of the commercial subscription agreement to the Market or Customer Acquisition Manager once subscriber agreements have been executed
· Collaborate with Market and Customer Acquisition Managers to host periodic check-in calls with customers after closing and create opportunities for expanded partnership
· Work with Market Managers to identify "high-value" C&I customers and develop strategies to find more customers with those traits
· Strategically build Illinois and New York C&I customer relationships to set Dimension up for success in other markets
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic company poised for growth in one of the country’s most rapidly changing industries. Your business development, project management, and contract negotiation skills must be strong and complemented by comfort with complexity and uncertainty. The right person for this role will come up to speed on market fundamentals quickly and bring fresh perspective to Dimension’s C&I customer acquisition strategies and processes.
In more detail, we are looking for someone with:
· 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales and/or account management
· Contract management experience, including an understanding of how to manage partners to achieve optimal results for the company and ability to leverage contractual levers to drive partner performance
· Project management experience with strong organization and time management abilities
· Experience successfully responding to RFPs and RFQs with corporate partners
· Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English, including via Word and PowerPoint
· Preference for candidates who have existing C&I relationships in Illinois

Dimension values the collaboration facilitated by in-person work. Our team is in-office Monday through Thursday.
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year. The position will also include a commission incentive program directly connected to the number of C&I MWs originated by the Manager of C&I Origination. Dimension offers a generous benefits package as well.
