- ️ Your Role: MPD Engineer Level 1
Are you ready to make an impact from day one? We’re looking for a motivated MPD Engineer Level 1 to join our growing team. This is an ideal entry-level position for recent engineering graduates or early-career professionals with field experience in mud engineering, drilling fluids, or hydraulics.
In this hybrid role, you’ll split your time between the office and the field, building the technical and operational expertise needed to support advanced MPD operations.
️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Run detailed hydraulic simulations for MPD, including ECD, stripping, and pill displacement calculations.
- Design ramp schedules for optimal drilling performance.
- Create Basis of Design (BoD) reports to support customer well planning.
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to deliver tailored MPD solutions.
- Present findings in spud meetings, post-well reviews, and planning sessions.
- Provide real-time technical support to ensure successful operations.
- Gain hands-on MPD field experience with tools and operations.
- Support troubleshooting and live optimization at client sites.
- Work closely with rig personnel and field supervisors.
- Write, review, and improve MPD operating procedures, including hydraulics, ramping, and pill displacements.
- Ensure documentation aligns with safety and efficiency goals.
- Participate in structured training and mentorship programs.
- Learn from seasoned experts in engineering, operations, and field execution.
- Develop your career path within a rapidly growing company.
- Work cross-functionally with Field Engineers, Project Managers, Coordinators, and third-party providers.
- Build strong working relationships across disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.
✅ What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (Petroleum preferred)
- Field or office experience in mud engineering, hydraulics, or drilling operations is a big plus
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in engineering modeling tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, work in fast-paced environments, and travel to client sites
- A team-player mindset and passion for solving complex problems
