Job Title: HVAC Technician (Residential – Inspections & Basic Maintenance)

Overview

Ohm is seeking a full-time EPA-certified HVAC Technician to perform residential HVAC inspections and basic maintenance services. This role is designed for a technician with foundational experience who can ensure system reliability, identify potential issues, and carry out simple, preventative tasks while escalating more complex repairs to senior technicians or vendor partners.

Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections of residential HVAC systems

- Record equipment details (brand, model, year, serial number) and confirm system sizing vs. home square footage

- Perform basic maintenance tasks: filter changes, coil cleaning, drain line checks, thermostat function checks

- Identify and document visible signs of wear, leaks, or safety issues

- Provide clear inspection notes and escalate issues requiring advanced technical repair or unit replacement

- Use OhmNow’s dispatch and reporting tools to log service data and communicate findings in real time

Requirements

- EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)

- 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC experience preferred

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection checklists

- Comfortable using mobile devices for logging and reporting work

- Reliable, professional, and customer-oriented

Compensation

- Average Pay: $24–$31 per hour (in line with U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics median for EPA-certified HVAC technicians)

- Full-time role with opportunities for advancement into higher-complexity service and repair work
