Smucker Laser Cutting & Machine Fabrication (a division of Sam S. Smucker & Sons, Inc.) is a premier metal fabrication manufacturing firm serving clients in the South-Central Pennsylvania region. We provide laser cutting and metal fabrication services from manual prototyping to automated long run productions. We continue to grow and are seeking a Laser Operator to join our team on our second or third shift (evening or night).

Laser Operators may perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

· Operate and maintain the laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet quality and productivity standards and the production schedule;

· Complete computer control set-up and adjustments;

· Perform material handling duties;

· Complete paperwork for projects to include materials used, time keeping records, and time and material work; and

· Assist in preparing finished products for customer pick-up or delivery.

We will provide the selected candidate with comprehensive training in laser cutting operation.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

· Manufacturing/production experience (preferred);

· A desire to learn;

· Good mathematical skills;

· Team player with good communication skills;

· Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments;

· A good work ethic; and

· Strong mechanical aptitude.
