US Vanadium - Benton is in immediate need of Laborers/Process Operators. These positions are responsible for safely and efficiently starting and regulating plant processing equipment. The laborer/plant operator will run and monitor plant operations under the direction of the shift supervisors and department superintendents. The laborer position is a preliminary position prior to moving into a plant operator position. The time spent in the laborer position is dependent on the availability of job openings.

Laborer Responsibilities:

- Load/unload trucks

- General facility housekeeping

- Monitors/Maintains load-out area and operates mobile equipment as needed.

- Generates work requests using maintenance software.

- Aides in plant operation and repairs to plant equipment

- Maintains housekeeping in areas of responsibility

- Aides in the training of co-workers as needed

- Must be able to work rotating shifts.

- Performs other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor

Operator Responsibilities

- Troubleshoots process upsets and optimizes daily production in collaboration with the production team.

- Starts, monitors, and regulates plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards

- Maintains the operator log sheets and communicates well with the production team.

- Operates mobile and plant equipment, including skid steer, front-end loader, forklifts, etc. as needed.

- Conducts pre-shift equipment/plant inspections and completes required paperwork accurately.

- Generates work requests using maintenance software.

- Aides in plant operation and repairs to plant equipment

- Maintains housekeeping in areas of responsibility

- Aides in the training of co-workers as needed

- Work rotating shifts. (12 Hr. 3 on 3 off)

- Performs other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated

- Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives

- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

- Willing to cross-train in different areas of production

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
