We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the execution of Purity Gas’ most valuable and technologically advanced engineered projects. Reporting to the Manager, Engineered Projects, this role provides hands-on support across the full project lifecycle - from planning and scheduling to delivery and commissioning of Nitrocenter® nitrogen gas generation systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented professional to grow into a leadership role in project management within a fast-growing, high-tech industrial company.
- Project Support & Coordination
- - Assist the Manager, Engineered Projects in planning, scheduling, and tracking project deliverables.
- Coordinate activities between engineering, production, procurement, and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project documentation and ability to produce concise reports utilizing data, including project costs vs budget, project hours logged, vendor fabrication costs and more
- Execution & Delivery
- - Monitor progress on multiple concurrent engineered projects, highlighting risks and deviations to schedule or budget.
- Produce and track change orders through lifecycle of projects
- Support procurement activities, supplier communication, and delivery scheduling.
Assist in managing client communications and updates throughout project execution.
- Quality & Risk Management
- - Support quality assurance and compliance processes during project execution.
Identify potential risks, issues, or bottlenecks and escalate to the Manager, Engineered Projects with recommended actions.
- Continuous Improvement
- - Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes and tools.
- Support lessons-learned reviews and implement improvements into future projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, engineering, or industrial operations (co-op/internship experience considered)
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing, engineered equipment, and process systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and externally with customers/suppliers
- Proficiency with MS Office / Google Documents, project management software (e.g. Salesforce Taskray or similar), and ERP/MRP systems is an asset
- Registered with PMI and working towards PMP designation
- Registered with PEO and working towards P.Eng. designation
- Experience with document control, corrective actions, and internal audits in an ISO9001:2015 quality management environment
- Regular full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), 5 days per week
- Primary workplace location is the Purity Gas Headquarters in Ancaster, Ontario; the company may offer infrequent work from home opportunities once the new candidate is fully operational in their new role
- Travel to customer sites across Canada and USA will be required intermittently
- Must be eligible for entry into the United States of America
