- Complete projects as assigned, supporting the needs of the Manufacturing Supply Chain Group.
- Execute a wide variety of small/medium projects from conceptual design to commissioning.
- Lead and facilitate design reviews in assigned area of focus, work with subject matter exports, operations, and external resources/vendors.
- Prepare project proposals, bid packages, and lead project meetings/walkthroughs.
- Develop and maintain project budget, schedule, and all required documentations.
- Resolving Engineering and process-related problems.
- Developing and implementing procedures and design systems for:
- Safe handling and processing of PSM chemicals.
- Compliance with all PSM related requirements, processes and procedures.
- Chemical feeds, processing, operations.
- Maintenance, monitoring, construction, control and electric systems.
- Total loss control, environmental compliance, pollution prevention.
- Security, industrial hygiene and training.
- Candidate must reside in Edmonton, AB or the surrounding area.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.
- This is an on-site role, Monday to Friday.

- A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering degree is required.
- 1- 3 years of experience in the Chemical Process Industry in a plant environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, planning, and leadership skills along with a broad knowledge of engineering disciplines and practices.
- Knowledge in manufacturing plant operations, lean manufacturing practices, maintenance activities, and capital projects experience is preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and have project management experience to be able to work independently and coordinate efforts among support and leadership resources.
- Strong team skills (aligning a group to a cause or objective, facilitating team decision processes, timely communications with team members on critical decisions, etc.).- 3+ years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably in the same industry.
- Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Previous experience in developing PID's, PFD's. Mass/energy balances; bid packages, equipment specifications and reviews, MS Office, and CAD software.
- A professional engineering designation (P.Eng) is nice to have.
