Luff Industries is currently accepting resumes for qualified Journeyman Millwrights and experienced 3rd / 4th year apprentice Millwrights to join our team at our Rockyview Alberta Plant.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for completing a variety of assigned maintenance tasks including completing preventative maintenance on equipment and machines through out the plant and for responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure that the plant is operating smoothly and production downtime is minimized. This role will also support the rest of the maintenance team with other daily tasks such as facilities maintenance,
This role is safety critical and requires the successful candidate to follow all our established safety protocols and procedures.
- Working safely and keeping work areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Completing minor preventative maintenance as per the established PM schedule.
- Working with the rest of the maintenance team to complete larger scale PM Work.
- Providing support to other departments by responding to requests for broken down production equipment or troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Fabricate parts and components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
- Installation of bearing assemblies on products being shipped to customers.
- Installation of new equipment that is being commissioned with in the plant.
- Handling completed product and raw materials safely using a variety of manual and powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Any other tasks required for the success of the company.

This individual will be able to provide excellent support and customer service to other internal departments and teams to ensure that their needs are met and production and machine uptime is optimized and by looking for ways to continuously improve our workplace with new ideas and suggestions for improvements.
Applicants will also bring the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 Years experience in a previous maintenance technician role including completing Preventative Maintenance on production equipment,
- Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment including CNC Machines.
- At least 3 Year of experience in a production / manufacturing environment with a focus on welding and machining.
- Prior experience safely using overhead cranes.
- Prior experience operating rough terrain forklifts and other powered mobile equipment.
Compensation: This is an hourly position with a starting Journeyman wage of $38.00 per hour. The hourly rate for apprentices will be based on education level completed and will follow Alberta Apprenticeship guidelines.
Final Starting wage will be based on the successful applicant’s combination of skills and experience and future increases will be based on ongoing individual performance as part of our employee review and development program. Employees are eligible to participate in the company benefit program after 3 months of employment.
