About This Job:

Buckhorn Resources is currently searching for an in-house land professional and accepting resumes for an opening in its Houston office.

Title:  Landman

Start Date:  Immediately

Compensation:

Education / Experience:

·        1+ year of experience as Landman or related field; or

·        Bachelor’s degree with course study in petroleum land management or business administration, or any other related discipline; or

·        Juris Doctor with course study in oil and gas law

Responsibilities / Requirements:

·        Active American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) member

·        Assist with title examination, acquisitions, division orders, well/asset management, curative, operator correspondence, data management and due diligence

·    Ability to create ownership chains of title and perform complex ownership calculations

·    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe

·     Strong research skills and attention to detail

·     Ability to meet deadlines and fulfill obligations

·      Authorized to currently work in the United States
