The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the organization’s metal inventory & warehouse supplies
- Provide inventory reports to Production Control Supervisor & management
- Daily receiving of inventory into the ERP system
- Identify & mark material & supplies with appropriate tags, etc.
- Manage receiving, storing, & inventorying of supplies, tools, equipment, and parts
- Organize inventory utilizing a forklift truck & ERP system
- Conduct frequent spot & partial audits of metal inventory & warehouse supplies
- Assist with annual physical inventory audits
- Excellent communication skills with the operations department & management
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 & ERP systems
- Organized & able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift operator certification required
Physical demands can include but not limited to
- Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Balancing/Bending/Climbing
- Close vision (sharp vision at 36 inches or less)
- Up to 50 pounds—With assistance and/or of a lifting device
