Job Description:
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Software Developer reporting to the
Director of Data & Analytics in Midland, Texas or The Woodlands, TX. The Software
Developer will design, build, and maintain software solutions that automate data
movement and business processes. This includes working with APIs, developing robotic
process automation (RPA) solutions (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate), and enabling citizen
development with low-code tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps). The role also involves
collaborating on data integration, database performance, and application-level support
within an oil and gas setting.
General Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain software components focused on automating data exchange
between internal and external systems.
• Implement and support RPA solutions using Microsoft Power Automate (or similar
tools).
• Enable and guide citizen development efforts using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes in cloud-based platforms (e.g., Databricks,
Snowflake).
• Manage and maintain APIs (REST, SOAP) and handle varied data formats (JSON,
CSV, XML).
• Assist with database architecture, performance tuning, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with business units, vendors, and IT to address system issues and
deliver data-driven solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Software Developer (senior or intermediate level).
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or
equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, C++).
• Experience with RPA tools (Microsoft Power Automate), low-code platforms
(Microsoft Power Apps), and SQL-based data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with oil and gas operations, data workflows, and related applications.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to
various stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, able to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and work in a fast
paced environment.
