What to Expect
As an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician based at and around our Lucerne Facility in Greeley, CO, you will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment. You will provide prompt and accurate diagnosis of issues and implement effective corrective actions.

What You’ll Do
Regularly consult with equipment vendors to resolve technical problems as needed. You will diagnose and maintain electrical and electronic systems and components, including relays, switches, power supplies, motor control circuits, AC/DC motors, variable speed drives, heat tracing, transformers, and wiring.
Perform basic troubleshooting and component replacement on control system hardware such as DCS and PLC systems. You will
Assist in determining repair needs by recommending replacement parts, solutions, and options.
Perform other duties as assigned
Perform all work in compliance with environmental, safety, and health policies and established safe work practices.
Ready to respond to work needs at any time during scheduled call out/on call periods.
Install and perform terminations on all associated electrical/electronic components in accordance with applicable code
Install new electrical raceways including conduits and cable trays
Perform point to point quality check of systems before initial power up
Perform calibrations of instrumentation via use of pressure pumps, and other calibration equipment
Perform cable and instrument checks using insulation tester, digital multimeters, Hart etc.
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the plant equipment, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company
Participates in plant maintenance program
Repairs or replaces plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis
Participates in safe work permit and lock out tag out programs
Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues
Knows and understands city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to maintenance and plant equipment, and work in a safe manner to ensure that these regulations are met at all times
Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness
Participates in Health, Safety and Environmental programs
Operate company vehicle to travel to nearby sites for emergency calls, as needed
What You’ll Bring – Required
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must maintain a valid driver's license
4 or more years of experience in Oil & Gas or a relevant industry
Must currently live, or be willing to relocate, within 45 minutes of the reporting location
Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
To climb up to 50 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders
To lift up to 50 pounds
To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time, to sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands
To travel up to 15% of the time and respond to emergency calls as needed
To work overtime on an as-needed basis
To work alone a high percentage of the time
To work with chemicals and bases and wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
To work outside in harsh weather conditions
To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
4 or more years of process instrumentation/electrical maintenance experience in industry
Working knowledge of the following:
Electrical power and components
Digital and analog circuitry
One-line drawings and schematics
Allen-Bradley PLCs
Rosemount Transmitters
Delta V
Variable Frequency Drives
Voltages up to 4160VAC
Mechanical and rotating equipment
Experience in troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of actuators and valves
Good working knowledge of SAP
Compensation Range:
The base pay range for this role is $93,600 - $123,200 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
Midstream
The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy.
