Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Field Technician / Mechanic II/III in Butler Georgia, Georgia SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details
•Starting wage may be Higher based on verifiable experience for Higher Skill Level Technicians
•Weekend work may be required
•Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits
Job Responsibilities
•Perform repairs on heavy trucks, heavy equipment and asphalt equipment.
•Trouble shoot and diagnose a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating and cooling, and electrical systems.
•Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
•Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy construction equipment and dump trucks.
•Complete maintenance and work order repair records.
•Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.
•Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.
•Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
•Ability to operate mobile equipment.
•Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
Qualifications
•Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under DOT regulations & company safety policies and practices.
•Minimum of three years of experience working on construction equipment and on-road trucks.
•Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
•Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections preferred
•Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist and lift 70lbs.
•Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet
•Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
•Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
