- R & R engines, R & R transmissions (automatic & standard), overhaul PTO’s, air and electrical systems, R & R suspension work, brakes, tires, hydraulic system repairs, R & R clutches, road assistance,
- Assist other employees with PM service,
- Follow safety rules and keep work area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list; additional tasks may be assigned; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
- Know how to complete vehicle inspection forms.
- Able to conduct a 90-day inspection as per DOT requirements.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair both air and electrical problems. Must be able to drive vehicles and forklift safely.
- A valid California Driver’s License is required
- Minimum of three years of experience and/or training in CNG/LNG/Diesel truck repair and maintenance is required
- Or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Have a clean driving record
- Waste Industry experience, preferred
- In-frame engine overall experience, preferred
- Welding experience, preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience and/or training in CNG/LNG/Diesel truck repair and maintenance, required
- Or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Have a clean driving record
- Waste Industry experience, preferred
- In-frame engine overall experience, preferred
- Welding experience is preferred
- Able to perform heavy lifting up to 75 lbs is required
- Will be exposed to outdoor weather, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Will be exposed to moderate levels of noise and dust.
