Natural Gas Services Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development. This role will work closely with field operations and skilled trades teams, ensuring that HR strategies align with business goals and support a high-performance, people-focused culture.

The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development. This role will work closely with field operations and skilled trades teams, ensuring that HR strategies align with business goals and support a high-performance, people-focused culture.
- Act as a strategic partner to operational and corporate leaders in Midland and across field locations.
- Provide counsel on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession management, and organizational design.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to strengthen employees in the Corporate location as well as across our field workforce.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal company policies.
- Manage and guide the application of HR policies, procedures, and programs consistently across the organization.
- Use Paylocity or Workday HRIS to generate reports, monitor HR metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Deliver training and support leadership development programs.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives, reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with payroll and benefits teams to address employee inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field highly desired.
- Certification: HRCI accreditation (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within the oil and natural gas industry or in environments supporting skilled trades/field-based employees.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Paylocity or Workday HRIS for workforce administration and analytics.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Ability to balance strategic HR partnership with hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.
