Duties

- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscape materials tailored to their needs and skill levels

- Maintain the appearance of the garden center through stocking, merchandising, and organizing products for easy browsing

- Provide expert guidance on lawn care, horticulture practices, floral design, and landscape maintenance techniques

- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales and cash handling, ensuring accurate transactions and customer receipts

- Support e-commerce order fulfillment by preparing online orders for pickup or delivery with attention to detail

- Offer exceptional customer service by answering questions in English or multilingual languages, fostering positive shopping experiences

- Conduct inventory checks and organize stock to ensure product availability and freshness for customers

Experience

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service within a garden center, nursery, or related environment is preferred

- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, floral design, lawn care, and landscape maintenance is highly desirable

- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transactions

- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities

- Organizational skills to manage stocking routines and merchandising displays effectively

- Experience with e-commerce platforms or online order processing is advantageous but not required
