Fuel Assistance Specialist records, tracks and reconciles fuel assistance requests/payments in a timely manner. The fuel assistance position requires extensive interaction with Fabian’s customer service team, dispatch team and Agency representatives.
- Record and accurately process fuel assistance requests in a timely manner.
- Reconcile customer accounts to accurately complete seasonal compliance reporting.
- Work with management and/or coworkers within a timely manner to resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without falling behind.
- Responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety at work.
- Six months to one year related experience beneficial.
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel; and have knowledge of Accounting software. (Knowledge of Great Plains or Cargas software is helpful.)
- Proficient language and mathematical skills with ability to read and interpret written documents and spreadsheets, and numerical data and equations.
- Demonstrated professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Must maintain confidentiality and adaptability, and work in a teamwork environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform quality work demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to adapt to changes and work in a teamwork environment.
- Adheres to company safety guidelines.
- Overtime work may be required during peak times in order to meet departmental and company deadlines. Must be dependable and follow attendance/punctuality guidelines.
- Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis, operating office machines and handling light materials and supplies in a typical office environment setting. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Climbing stairs is frequently required.
- May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Periodic physical activity requires walking, bending, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.
