Core Responsibilities:

- Produce air-set molds that determine final casting shapes

- Operate key equipment: fork truck, Palmer Mixers, mold release sprayers, overhead/jib cranes, propane torch

- Maintain clean, organized work area

- Work mandatory overtime as needed

- Follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment

Career Progression:

Step C (90-day probation):

- Demonstrate punctuality and good work habits

- Follow instructions and maintain quality standards

- Work cooperatively with team members

- Meet physical requirements (lifting, bending, manual dexterity)

- Perform equipment inspections

- Understand basic molding terminology

- Follow Steeltech part numbering system

Step B:

- Master all Step C requirements

- Read and follow molding specifications

- Perform mold finishing/repair (burning, painting, core setting)

Step A:

- Master all Step B requirements

- Operate lift truck throughout facility

- Train new employees

- Cover reclaimer operator duties

- Monitor mold wash viscosity

- Produce no-bake cores

Advancement requires:

- 90 days minimum at current level

- Demonstrated proficiency

- Good attendance record
