Day Shift (Mon - Thur 4am - 230pm)

Essential Functions:

Ø Ensure ladle is preheated

Ø Operates full and empty ladles along overhead monorail system

Ø Receives molten iron from furnace in various weights of ladles

Ø Adds alloys and inoculants when necessary

Ø Drives ladle to proper pouring platform

Ø Returns to furnace with empty ladle

Ø Requires care in moving a ladle of molten metal along rail system

Ø Must have a good knowledge of rail system and switch locations to avoid wrecks

Ø Will be required to assist out of spec or extra molten metal back into pig mold

Ø Pour iron according to established procedures

Ø Manage time and work load to accomplish goals in time allotted

Ø Abide by the established foundry working requirements (attitude, technique, efficiency, safety, attendance and housekeeping)

Ø Control all alloys being poured

Ø Fill out all paperwork completely, recording all pertinent information

Ø Advise supervisor of any problem with jobs or equipment

Ø Performs housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment

Ø Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Other Position Demands or Requirements:

Ø Lift 70 lbs. on an occasional basis

Ø Standing – frequent to continuous

Ø Walking – occasional to frequent

Ø Must be able to communicate with other employees

Ø Perform at a pace to keep up with production

Ø Comply with Company’s safety policy & procedures

Ø Abide by the established foundry working requirements (attitude, technique, efficiency, safety, attendance & housekeeping

Required PPE:

Steel toed step in boots (no laces), non-synthetic clothing (no Under Armour), chaps, spats, apron, jacket

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
