We’re looking for Utility Vegetation Patrollers to join our team and support vegetation management work across Alberta. This is a full-time, year-round field position where you’ll be responsible for assessing vegetation near utility infrastructure, coordinating with landowners and municipalities, and helping to ensure safe and reliable utility service.

- Patrol utility rights-of-way and identify vegetation risks
- Recommend maintenance actions to mitigate hazards
- Work directly with landowners, contractors, and municipal contacts to obtain permissions and coordinate work
- Use digital tools and mapping software to document findings
- Travel regularly across Alberta and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ensure compliance with utility and safety standards
- Degree or diploma in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Arboriculture or other Environmental program
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license (a clean driver’s abstract will be required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and an openness to learning new software
- Comfortable working in the field year-round
- Direct experience in patrol and consent
- Certified Utility Arborist (UTT/UTW/CUA)
- ISA Certified Arborist and/or TRAQ certified
- Experience with GIS mapping tools
- Standard First Aid/CPR, H2S, UTV/ATV/Snowmobile training
- Alberta Pesticide Applicator’s Certificate or herbicide application experience
- Competitive flat day rate based on experience (10-hour shifts)
- Daily living out allowance (LOA)
