About The Position
We are presently seeking to fill a Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) position at our Albany location, with a minimum starting pay rate of $36.67. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more. Under direct supervision to perform ordinary types of repair and maintenance work on equipment, such as adjusting and relining brakes, grinding valve seats, refacing and adjusting valves; and to assist Fleet Technicians of a higher grade.
Job Qualifications
- New York State Inspection License is preferred (heavy duty, light duty and emissions).
- Class A CDL License is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) valid ASE certifications, including but not limited to T-1, T-2, T-4, T-5, T-8 or Equivalent is preferred
- Complete set of professional grade automotive repair tools required.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mechanics (heavy duty experience (trucks) and/or light duty).
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
