The Inspector is responsible for performing quality assurance checks on outside plant (OSP) construction projects, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety standards. This role involves documenting construction activities, identifying deficiencies, reviewing traffic control and PPE compliance, and coordinating with subcontractors and supervisors. It’s a great opportunity for professionals with OSP experience to play a critical role in maintaining construction quality and safety across fiber and telecom infrastructure projects.

- Perform quality checks on outside plant (OSP) construction to ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify, report, and correct unsafe actions or conditions
- Generate and maintain accurate As-Built records
- Record units placed, deviations from plans, and construction-related notes. Communicate this to management and/or the customer as required.
- Identify, document, and follow up on construction deficiencies
- Conduct inspections and assist with investigations as needed
- Review and correct traffic control setups, signage, and flagger placements
- Ensure enforcement of all safety standards
- Maintain a detailed daily construction inspection journal
- Communicate corrective actions and provide recommendations to prevent future issues
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, supervisors, and internal teams- 2+ years of OSP construction inspection experience
- Thorough understanding of aerial and underground construction methods
- Able to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Occasional travel as needed for site visits and business operations
- Site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- Walking on uneven and variable terrain
- Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
- Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending, and reaching
- Manual dexterity for computer use, and office equipment
- Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
