Completions Field Specialist – Ventura, CA

Position Overview

Weatherford is seeking a Completions Field Specialist to support field operations in Ventura, CA. This role involves executing oil and gas service assignments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high standards of safety and service quality at well sites.

Responsibilities

- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard analyses

- Maintain and operate tools and equipment per procedures

- Prepare for and execute field jobs including mobilization and documentation

- Monitor data and recommend service solutions

- Respond to customer needs on a 24-hour call basis

- Maintain inventory and supplies at well sites

- Build and maintain client relationships

- Investigate equipment failures and support root cause analysis

- For senior roles: oversee crews, interpret data, and manage complex installations

Qualifications

Required:

- 1 to 2.5 years of oil & gas experience

- High School Diploma

Preferred:

- Technical Certificate from an accredited vocational school

Skills

- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fundamentals

- Basic math, physics, and chemistry

- Computer literacy

- Strong problem-solving and time management

- Physical capability for field work

- Effective communication and decision-making

Travel

- Domestic and potential international travel up to 50–75%
