At SPL, we turn science into impact. We’re searching for a part-time Field Services Technician to join our team in State College, PA. In this role, you’ll collect and transport environmental samples that support compliance and decision-making. You’ll follow established procedures, operate field equipment, and represent STL professionally at client sites.

What You’ll Do

- Adhere to daily schedules as assigned through mobile routing software;

- Collect, transport, and deliver samples in strict accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and applicable regulatory requirements;

- Ensure all equipment, supplies, and documentation are properly prepared and verified prior to the start of daily routes;

- Accurately record and maintain data within mobile devices, including completion of all chain of custody documentation;

- Obtain samples from client sites in a timely manner and in compliance with established procedures;

- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to meet client deadlines and operational objectives;

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles and ensure shared equipment is returned in proper working condition;

- Create, maintain, and update customer notes, site plans, and project documentation in accordance with company standards;

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record;

- Proficiency with mobile technology (Microsoft Office, iOS, email, and routing software);

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

- Must be able to work a part-time, day-shift schedule of three to four days per week, typically consisting of three 8-hour shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday;

- Regular and punctual attendance is required;

- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
