Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating heavy equipment. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our operations, particularly in irrigation and horticulture settings. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of various farm machinery and tools, ensuring that all tasks are completed to high standards.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, excavators, and other farm machinery to perform tasks related to irrigation and horticulture.

- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various maintenance tasks as needed.

- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required by job assignments.

- Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.

- Assist in the setup and management of irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Experience in irrigation systems and horticultural practices is preferred.

- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery safely.

- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
