The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. We provide open and non-discriminatory access to Alberta’s interconnected power grid and also facilitate Alberta’s competitive wholesale electricity market. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and professional individual to join our Facilities Team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Facilities, you be responsible for the operation and maintenance of AESO facilities and building systems to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable environment supporting critical operations. Coordinates and oversees maintenance activities with internal teams and external contractors. Manages physical security and access control at our NW location in Calgary.
The position will be primarily based at our NW location in Calgary that is not serviced by public transit and may also entail working at other locations both within and outside of the City of Calgary. This position will require to be on call.
