Job description

We are looking for a new team member to set up, maintain, and operate tools and machinery in our fabrication department. There are many aspects to fabrication at Mid-Am Metal Forming, as we are a custom shop, and each job can be different. Common tasks include laying and marking aluminum components for various cuts or holes, working with saws, grinders, sanding, and milling machines, or assisting the brake press or shear. There are also aspects of assembly on certain projects, which includes the use of adhesives, welding, or other mechanical fasteners. All work is guided by prints and work orders.

Skills

- Proven experience in manufacturing or fabrication

- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

- Ability to read blueprints

- Analytical skills

- Attention to detail

- Teamwork and communication skills

- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

The typical schedule consists of eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. Since we are a custom shop, production is occasionally scheduled to work on a Saturday.
