Pries is looking to add an extrusion team lead to our production crew! These hours would be 6am-6pm on a 2, 2, 3 schedule. Starting pay at minimum $22 but based on experience.
Position Summary: Supervise all employee areas in extrusion production. Schedule and execute production; to achieve company goals and meet customer needs based on available material, equipment and manpower. Responsible for safety of employees under supervision. Understand and follow instructions. Work well with others, detail oriented, accept additional responsibility, use good judgement when making decisions, multi-task, organize and plan work by priority. Is reliable and motivated. Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Maintain a positive attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Supervise employee production, ensure productivity
- Receive and delegate press schedules for continuous production flow
- Learn all extrusion production positions to assist with production as needed
- Arrange and assist in carrying out all die changes and alloy changes
- Ensure proper materials are at the press for scheduled runs
- Ensure operators are following press practice recipes and information within EPICS
- Record, calculate and relay daily production reports
- Challenge and improve on productivity and scrap at all times
- Ensure all department goals are being met or exceeded
- Cross train an efficient crew to cover for absenteeism
- Promote and implement continuous improvement
- Comply with and enforce with all safety policies, practices and procedures within the department. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department, as well as assess immediate corrective actions
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise approximately 5-7 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Pries’ policies and applicable laws. Train, plan, assign and direct work. Appraise performance; reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum three months related
experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in
one-on-one and small group situations to management, other employees, suppliers and customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills: Ability to perform routine computer operations specific to in-house software programs.
