Hartford area fabrication house is seeking a highly skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This role requires precision welding, strong fabrication skills, and the ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings to produce high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform TIG welding on various metals (including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel, as applicable)

- Fabricate metal components and assemblies from prints, sketches, and specifications

- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols

- Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment

- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts with a high degree of accuracy

- Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and appearance standards

- Inspect finished work and make adjustments as needed

- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a TIG Welder and Fabricator

- Proven expertise in TIG welding

- Strong fabrication skills, including layout and fit-up

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)

- Experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment

- Experience with light machining or additional welding processes (a plus)

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
