Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing job estimating and project management, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and delivered within budget, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
· Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, labor and process step expenses
· Communicate with other departments and suppliers to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
· Help to source new vendors as quotes for new products come in
· Fill in our quoting vehicle, the “Estimator” for review
· Attach all documents to the opportunity quote or project in Epicor
· Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
· Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers, customers, and contractors on estimates
· Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
· Work with Sales teams to prepare estimate and bids for customers
· Updates cost estimate when changes occur within the initial product, including but not limited to supplier cost increases, labor increases, changes in production process, etc.

· Associates Degree in Engineering preferred but not required
· Three or more years of manufacturing/tool shop experience preferred but not required
· Mechanical aptitude required; able to read prints
· Excellent computer skills (MS Office, ERP experience preferred)
· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to coworkers, customers, and suppliers
· Ability to manage several projects at one time
· Able to work independently on a project through its completion with minimum supervision
· Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, machining and tooling background and previous manufacturing background/environment.
· Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work within short time lines with speed and accuracy
· Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
