Job Title: Equipment Operator – Hydro Vac / Combination Flusher-Vac Company: Cam-Trac Inspection Services Ltd. Location: Morinville, AB T8R 1K6 Job Type: Seasonal (4-month contract) Pay: $32.00–$35.00/hour Additional Pay: Overtime pay Schedule: 10-hour shift
Founded in 1988, Cam-Trac Inspection Services Ltd. has been a leader in underground pipe infrastructure maintenance and assessment across Western Canada and the Northwest Territories. Our services include hydro-excavation, pipeline flushing and cleaning, CCTV inspections, data collection, and mapping for municipalities, contractors, and engineering firms.
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating hydro-excavation and combination flusher/vac equipment to support the maintenance and inspection of underground infrastructure.
- Operate combination flusher/vac and hydro-excavation units
- Assist other operators/inspectors as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Set up traffic control and worksite safety signage
- Perform equipment maintenance and report required repairs
- Conduct site assessments for hazards and follow safety procedures
- Complete daily logs, reports, vehicle inspections, FLHAs, and time tracking
- Interpret maps, drawings, and blueprints
- Travel for out-of-town projects as needed
- Be available for emergency response outside of regular hours
- Class 3 driver’s license with Q (Air Brake) endorsement – abstract required
- Minimum 1 year experience operating HydroVac and combination flusher/vac units (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Competent with tablets, phones, and job-tracking software
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Safety certifications (must be submitted with application)
