Job Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for management and oversight of supply chain systems adoption and development of supply chain reporting, dashboards, and analysis across all Nevada Gold Mine operations. You will work collaboratively with site-based and central teams and key stakeholders to align reporting and analysis to business needs, monitoring performance of the supply chain internally and externally and ensuring proper adoption and use of supply chain systems. As the Supply Chain Operations Manager, you will lead the training and adoption of NGM supply chain personnel and, as relevant, end users in line with Nevada Gold Mines policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities•Primarily focused on market surveillance and reporting, coordination of market intelligence analyses and reporting, identification of business improvement initiatives, spend analyses, business reporting and management of systems adoption and effectiveness.
•Develop and maintain the SC systems integration roadmap across NGM, aligned to the global roadmap and advocate for regional priorities.
•Develop and maintain an automated reporting suite in conjunction with the supply chain systems group for use across various supply chain functional areas inclusive of procurement, sourcing, inventory, and warehousing.
•Develop and maintain supply chain SOPs inclusive of refresher training and new employee onboarding programs holistically for NGM supply chain.
•Generate reporting and KPI generation to support integration and mutual KPI achievement with outside departments (operations, maintenance, finance, etc.)
•Lead Supply Chain systems implementation and integration projects for the North America region in partnership with global Supply Chain Systems team.
•Through coordination and analysis of internal and external data, identify and capture new regional spend strategies to add value and drive overall supply chain effectiveness.
•Lead by example. Maintain a high degree of ethics and integrity while delivering results.
•Attention to detail. Assembling accurate and consistent market intelligence and analysis to develop a fact base for supply chain strategies
•Coordinating supplier relationship management programs, including maintenance of relationship frameworks for each key supplier, managing engagement schedules, assembling data/analytics and scorecard reports for review, and recording actions and outcomes.
•Coordinating supplier chain operational performance management through KPI generation and reporting, including maintenance of reporting frameworks for each operating site, managing engagement schedules, assembling data/analytics and scorecard reports for review, and recording actions and outcomes.
•Creativity and continuous improvement mindset. Understand key business drivers and supply chain impact to increase the profitability of NGM through development of new ways of working and striving to achieve excellence.
•Develop skills and abilities of direct and indirect reports through ongoing performance measurement and feedback. Provide career guidance and act as a champion and mentor for all resources in supply chain organization.
•Deliver project workstreams, carrying out specified project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management and permitting methodology
•Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace
Qualifications
•Must have a mastery of business analysis within supply chain functions
•Must be able to understand and analyze market data and creatively integrate information into cohesive strategies
•Experience in teaching teams how to effectively utilize systems, with a preference to warehouse, inventory and procurement systems
•Minimum of 5 years of directly related Supply Chain experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary
•Minimum of 3 years of financial and supply chain analysis experience. Generating supply chain reports, market analysis, and spend analysis
•Experience leading systems implementation/integration projects through the full lifecycle from selection, implementation, integration, training, and change management.
•Management experience is a plus – leading teams and having direct reports.
•Mining industry experience preferred
•Strong computer skills using systems and software such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Power BI, Visual Basic, and SQL
•Advanced knowledge of enterprise level software packages is necessary, with a preference of SAP S4
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, accounting, economics, computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
