POSITION DESCRIPTION
In this position, the individual is required to supervise and participate in operational activities related to electrical assembly.
- Accurately install electrical components and wire electrical control panels per assembly drawings.
- Verify components with bills of material to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
- Train electrical assemblers on processes and procedures.
- Participate in personnel review activities.
- Participate in schedule / status meetings and update based on priorities and deadlines.
- Maximize / manage material utilization and material needs.
- Keep work centers clean and orderly.
- Accurately follow company policies and standards.
- Operate a computer terminal to look up engineering drawings and models.
- Follow standard assembly procedures, perform rework and repair when needed.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of blueprints and schematics.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Strong ability to be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime.
- Strong problem-solving skills both individually and with others.
- Strong ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
- Ability to hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
- Self-motivation with ability to work without much supervision.
- Ability to have a safety-focused mindset while performing job duties and functions.
- Strong computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, TEAMs, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to crawl and kneel in tight spaces to complete work.
- Strong problem-solving skills both individually and with others.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn (preferred).
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or GED and at least 1-2 years of both assembly work and supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment or relevant equivalent experience. Individual is also required to have at least 1 year of experience with Solid Works 3D.
