It's On Electric Company is a full-service electrical contracting and energy management company located in Surrey, BC. We are currently seeking a keen and eager Level 2 Electrical Apprentice (or an apprentice with equivalent hours) to work alongside our Senior Electrician, installing electrical monitoring and load-control devices as part of a province-wide energy and EV-related program.

This role is ideal for an apprentice who enjoys field work, residential electrical installations, and clean, well-organized jobs, and who wants exposure to utility-backed programs and emerging energy technology.

This is a Full-time, Project-based role. (2-3 months contract with the opportunity for ongoing work).

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the installation of electrical monitoring and load-control devices (EV-related equipment)

- Work directly with a licensed electrician on residential installations

- Support safe, code-compliant electrical work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code

- Assist with electrical permit requirements and inspections where applicable

- Maintain clean, professional job sites and positive customer interactions

- Accurately follow installation procedures and program-specific requirements

- Travel to residential sites as scheduled (primarily Lower Mainland, occasional regional work)

Required Qualifications

- Level 2 Electrical Apprentice registered with Technical Safety BC, or equivalent verified on-the-job hours toward Level 2

- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems

- Ability to work well as part of a small, professional crew

- Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Comfortable working in occupied homes

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

- Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record

- Must pass a criminal record and background check.

Assets (Nice to Have)

- Experience with EV chargers, load controllers, or smart electrical devices

- Previous work on utility or rebate-based programs

- Familiarity with electrical permits and inspections

- Comfortable using basic mobile apps or digital forms on site
