SCHEDULE: Non-Traditional Work Week, which will include some Weekends.
6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and/or 6:00p.m to 6:00am + OT
Under general supervision, assists customers with outage reporting, service questions, disconnects, and technical issues. Receives, transmits, and relays information concerning service outages and activities to, from, and between FPB supervisors, employees and customers, and 911 center; monitors internal alarms, security cameras, and SCADA systems; notifies FPB employees of emergency or threatening situations; and performs other related work as assigned.
1. Receives service outage reports, logs information, and directs to the appropriate department for follow-up.
2. Effectively interacts with internal departments to ensure complete customer solutions are provided to ensure a positive customer experience.
3. Receives customer inquiries relating to billing, service interruptions, and technical issues after normal working hours.
4. Monitors internal alarms, security cameras, and SCADA systems.
5. Monitors and utilizes FPB radio system to communicate with service crews
6. Regularly communicates by phone and radio with local 9-1-1 center
7. Logs activity such as; field crew accountability, substation entries, breaker position status, and trouble calls for electric and water.
8. Receives and records all facility locate requests, distributes to appropriate personnel for follow-up. Creates monthly report of locate activity.
9. Maintains emergency contact information for staff, public safety, and other service providers.
10. Must be accessible for unplanned outages and other emergency events that could potentially produce a high volume of calls.
11. Follows up with customers to insure quality of service provided.
12. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
