AltaGas is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in Sundre, AB! Dispatchers play a vital role in supporting AltaGas’ trucking operations. This position collaborates closely with company drivers, dispatch teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of dangerous goods. The successful candidate will be on-call during their shift and must be available to respond to emergencies outside of regular hours.

- Coordinate day-to-day operations for company drivers and lease operators.
- Schedule and manage driver assignments to ensure efficiency and work-life balance.
- Maximize driver and equipment utilization based on customer demand.
- Schedule truck and trailer maintenance internally and with third-party facilities in collaboration with the Asset team.
- Manage electronic logs, GPS systems, and internal communication portals.
- Monitor HOS, speed, and collision alerts.
- Create and process orders in the TMW system to capture daily driver revenue.
- Verify and process returned paperwork in Vector and TMW for billing and revenue realization.
- Maintain dispatch boards, including cleanup and removal of canceled orders.
- Manage customer contracts and inventory control at supply and destination plants.
- Schedule third-party trucks during peak periods to meet nominations.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Be available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM while on-call to support drivers and maintain communication with customers, management, marketing, mechanical shops, and internal teams.
- Respond promptly to emergencies outside of normal business hours while on-call (10:01 PM – 5:59 AM).
- Train in dispatch applications across multiple locations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, dispatch, scheduling, or a related role.
- Oilfield experience and knowledge of TDG best practices preferred.
- Proficiency with Truckload Transportation Management software (TMW/Vector).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours as required based on customer demand.
- Shift: 8 days on / 6 days off
- Dispatching Hours: 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Office Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (weekdays), with remote support in the evenings and weekends.
- On-Call Rotation: Required outside of regular hours
