We are looking for a highly experienced leader in the veterinary, medical, or database software industry to serve as our Director of Clinical Systems. This role leads the design, configuration, and ongoing operation of our practice management and integrated systems stack, ensuring a centralized, scalable, and reliable data architecture that supports consistent workflows and enterprise-wide deployment across all hospitals.
We are a team of successful entrepreneurs and doctors using our own capital to improve the veterinary industry. With over 70 locations, the ideal candidate is a systems-oriented leader with deep experience designing and governing enterprise platforms across multi-site operations. This role owns our core practice management architecture and pricing infrastructure, working closely with executive leadership to drive scalable growth, margin integrity, and operational excellence as the company expands nationwide.
As Director of Clinical Systems, you will be responsible for:
○ Architectural Strategy: Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Central Structure in, ensuring all hospitals operate from a unified source of truth.
○ Replicable Deployment: Create standardized blueprints for new hospital instances (de novos) and conversion protocols for acquisitions to minimize downtime and ensure Day-1 operational readiness.
○ Mass Data Management: Establish protocols for pushing global updates (products, pricing, permissions, protocols) across the entire network simultaneously, eliminating the need for hospital-level manual intervention.
○ Command & Control Pricing: Implement a centralized pricing engine to manage consistent list prices and editable markup percentages across all locations.
○ Automated Price Indexing: Design and execute a system for accurate, precise annual price increases and quarterly updates for shoppable items to maintain market competitiveness.
○ Margin Protection: Audit and enforce pricing integrity to prevent unauthorized local price reductions and ensure consistent margin realization across the group.
○ Lead the end-to-end integration between systems to centralize procurement visibility.
○ Dynamic Inventory Modeling: Build and oversee the infrastructure for dynamic min/max settings based on real-time hospital usage patterns, optimizing stock levels and reducing COGS.
○ SOP Development: Establish standardized, group-wide inventory protocols and monthly audit cadences to ensure data accuracy at the hospital level with HQ-level visibility.
○ Ecosystem Management: Lead the implementation and cross-platform synergy of systems
○ Process Improvement: Manage the FreshDesk ticketing platform for PIMS-related issues, utilizing data to identify and solve recurring structural friction points.
○ Workflow Auditing: Conduct regular audits of DVM production and operational workflows to assess the impact of PIMS configurations on efficiency and financial performance.
Experience: 10+ years of professional experience with deep hands-on ownership of enterprise software platforms, designing, configuring, and governing practice management, ERP, or mission-critical operational systems in multi-site healthcare, veterinary, dental, or other service-based environments.
Skills: Strong expertise in enterprise systems architecture, data standardization, and large-scale platform deployments, with experience managing complex integrations and repeatable system configurations.
Attributes: Systems-oriented leader with strong analytical judgment, high attention to detail, and a bias toward reliable execution, data integrity, and scalable design.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience in enterprise systems or platform management considered.
