Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic/Assembler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and assembling a wide range of heavy equipment, including industrial machinery, farm equipment, and transportation vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and contribute to maintaining high standards of service and safety.
- Must have experience working on 18-wheeler engines.
- Must have experience installing/troubleshooting 18-Wheeler hydraulic systems.
- Must have experience installing PTO's on 18-wheelers.
- Working on crude transport product pumps, is a plus.
- Must be able to operate engine programming software.
- Minimal MIG welding on steel is a plus.
- Minimal general assembly experience is a plus.
- Assemble new equipment and perform maintenance tasks on existing machinery, ensuring proper fit and function using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive diagnostics and soldering to resolve complex mechanical or electronic problems.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while working with vehicle maintenance tools and adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and document all work performed for quality assurance.
- Proven mechanic experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or similar machinery.
- Strong background in fabrication, welding (including TIG and MIG welding), and assembly of industrial components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair including brake repair, tire service, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, HVAC systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, power transmissions, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely including excavators and tractor-trailers while adhering to safety standards.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems is essential.
