Open gauging experience of any kind, pulling samples and or using a Thief, "cutting" water with paste. Describe experience below. (This job is not offshore)
Microsoft Xcel (Google sheets) experience a plus.
Must have reliable and available, insured transportation.
- Must have valid Driver's license.
- Must have Twic, be eligable for TWIC , renewing TWIC, or have applied for TWIC and been approved.
- !!MUST!! be able to Pass DISA drug screening and DISA extensive background check.
- MUST be able to Lift and carry 35lbs up to 1/2mile.
- MUST BE ABLE TO Enter and exit barges by gangway without assistance.
- BEARD MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN TO ENTER THE FACILITY- NO EXCEPTIONS- this is the facilities requirement; therefore, I must require it also. ((Mustache that doesn't extend past lip, is allowed))
- MUST have basic math skills and identify measurements in increments down to an eighth.
This Job is 7 solid days of 24hr on call work, then 7 solid days off. The dock operators will call at any time during your hitch with a 2 hour notice. (Sometimes it's busy, but much of the work is evenly spread out) I rarely have to bother anyone on their 7 days off, and would only need to in an extreme emergency.
Brief description: Drive to facility and allow security to check credentials. Park in designated inspector locations. Safely and cleanly Gauge, Temp, and Sample barges upon vessel docking. Record and submit detailed info of temperature, crude volume and water volume to dock operator prior to discharge. Prepare report to finalize after discharging of barge is complete. Gauge closing volumes on barge after discharge is complete. Complete report to be provided to dock operator, and emailed to main office, including legible cell phone pictures of support paperwork.
Standing and walking for extended periods required. Ability to self-regulate working in extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind with safety precautions and equipment in place.
Wear all safety gear as required by the facility and provided by employer (FRC, Safety glasses, hard hat, PFD), Safety Toe shoes must be worn while in facility these will be bought by potential hire and compensated for in first expense check (approx 90 days).
ImportantConsidered Hire will agree to stay in facilities provided (at no charge) for the duration of shift this is non negotiable. Hire will provide their own groceries and toiletries during their hitch.

Pay provided during training will be less than full salary until training is complete.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of measurement increments and possess the ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
The ideal applicant should live in or near Lake Charles, but it's not a deal breaker.
