Faulconer Energy, LLC, a growing Independent Texas Oil & Gas Company, has an opportunity for a Corporate Controller in our Tyler, Texas office. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational and general accounting duties. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer, and will manage the Revenue, JIB, AP, and financial reporting functions. This role is a second level supervisor position and requires excellent management and communication skills.
The Corporate Controller position is located in beautiful Tyler, Texas in the Piney Woods. This location is very desirable due to the high quality of life, minimal commuting time to work, and abundant recreational activities in the area. - Lead the month-end close process related to the operations of the company, including all revenue and cost-related accounts, margin analysis, and timely reporting of results.
- Provide oversight to ensure the accurate and timely payment of all accounts payable.
- Oversee timely payment application and collections activities.
- Manage and understand JIB, Revenue and AP at a detailed level.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
- Responsible for operational accounting and reporting including financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate financial statement analysis.
- Review and recommend changes to accounting processes and procedures.
- Manage Company production reporting and allocation process.
- Lead coordination of annual financial audit process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Previous Public Accounting Experience with energy client focus.
- 8+ years of general accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.- Demonstrated supervisory experience, with proven ability to build and manage collaborative teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities.
- High professional standards and strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and work with challenging issues, while establishing and meeting deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software is preferred, but not required.
- Must be a US Citizen or possess authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Experience with PakEnergy or other oil and gas ERP system desired.
