Job Title: Deli Associate

Location: Benson, MN

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Occasionally until 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Deli Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for food preparation and customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and cold sandwiches for lunch service.

- Stock and maintain the retail deli case with fresh products.

- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.

- Restock ingredients and supplies for the night shift.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

- Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentation.

- Completes other duties as assigned by Management.

- Receive customer complaints or concerns and promptly inform the supervisor for assistance.

- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and rotation.

- Maintain attractive and well-stocked deli displays.

- Monitor product freshness, quality, and presentation.

- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination.

- Conduct regular inventory checks and communicate supply issues with the deli manager.

- Complete required paperwork, including temperature logs and cleaning checklists.

- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles within the gas station.

· Reliable and punctual

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience in a retail environment. Either as a cashier or in sales

· Previous general clerical experience or training

· Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift 0-50 pounds.

· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

· Ability to reach overhead.

· Ability to bend/stoop/squat frequently and occasionally for extended periods of time.

· Exposure to outside weather conditions, walk in coolers & freezers, frequently & occasionally.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Ability to operate, use and properly care for all store equipment.
