Mother Compost is seeking a reliable, motivated, and environmentally conscious individual to join our team as a Compost Driver. This role is essential for our operations, responsible for the timely and efficient collection of food scraps from our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a company collection vehicle safely and courteously to collect food waste from residential and commercial customers along a predetermined route.

- Maintain accurate records of collections, noting any issues, and ensuring all customers are serviced as scheduled.

- Weigh and dump collected materials at the designated processing facility.

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to the Operations Manager.

- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations and company safety standards.

- Provide exceptional customer service, professionally answering basic questions or directing customers to the appropriate resources.

- Clean and maintain the collection vehicle and equipment.

QualificationsRequired

- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hour shift.

- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- A passion for sustainability and the mission of Mother Compost.

Preferred

- Previous professional driving experience (e.g., delivery, hauling, sanitation).

- Familiarity with the Main Line geographical area.

- Experience operating a box truck, trash truck, or similar commercial vehicle.

Schedule

Part Time, approximately 20 hours per week

Days

Varies, 2-3 days per week on a planned schedule

Compensation

$18.50/hour (Base, rate determined upon experience)

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
