Job Summary:

We are hiring a Cloud Architect with deep OpenShift and Kubernetes expertise, ideally someone who can architect and manage robust, scalable, and secure environments for enterprise data science and quant platforms. You will be the SME for OpenShift and JupyterHub, collaborating with platform, security, and data science teams to deliver next-gen interactive computing and ML workflows at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design/manage highly available OpenShift clusters (on-prem or cloud-managed)

- Create/manage Kubernetes manifests: Deployments, StatefulSets, PVCs, NetworkPolicies

- Set up RBAC, service accounts, admission policies

- Monitor health & performance using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki

-JupyterHub / Notebook Ecosystem

- Deploy & scale multi-tenant JupyterHub on OpenShift

- Integrate with enterprise auth systems (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP)

- Manage persistent user storage with PVCs

- Support notebook environments: libraries, kernels, runtimes

-Cloud & Platform Architecture

- Design hybrid/cloud-native architectures with OpenShift & Azure

- Architect secure storage (CephFS, NFS, S3-compatible) for data workflows

- Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

- Implement DR, backup, and compliance for data science workloads

-Security & Governance

- Enforce security via SCCs, secrets, encryption

- Architect secure multi-tenant isolation and data access boundaries

- Integrate audit logs with SIEM tools

Required Experience:

- 10+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Architecture roles - 7+ years hands-on with OpenShift/Kubernetes in production

- Proven experience with JupyterHub, Kubeflow Notebooks, or similar

- YAML, Helm, Operators expert-level

- Cloud: Azure and/or Red Hat OpenShift

- Storage: NFS, Ceph, S3 volume provisioning experience

- Strong understanding of RBAC, IAM, TLS, and secure networking

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of Data Science personas and notebook workflows

- Experience with Apache Airflow, Iceberg, Spark on Kubernetes

- Exposure to Open Data Hub, Kubeflow, or Red Hat AI/ML suite

- Certifications: CKA, Red Hat OpenShift Specialist, or equivalent

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
