Job Summary

As a Class A Commercial Driver's License Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of professional drivers. Your expertise will empower aspiring drivers to master the skills necessary for safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers. You will lead engaging training sessions that blend classroom instruction with practical driving experiences, ensuring that each student is well-prepared to excel in their driving careers.

What you’ll do

- Deliver comprehensive training on air brake systems, tanker operations, and commercial driving regulations.

- Facilitate both classroom and hands-on training sessions to cover essential topics in truck driving and safety protocols.

- Assess student performance through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.

- Develop and maintain training materials that align with industry standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the curriculum and ensure a cohesive learning experience for all students.

- Stay updated on changes in transportation regulations and industry trends to provide relevant instruction.

- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

Basic qualifications

- Proven experience in teaching or adult education, particularly in a classroom setting.

- Strong background in commercial driving, specifically with a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience operating tractor-trailers and tankers, with knowledge of air brake systems.

- Previous experience in a training or instructional role within the transportation industry.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
