As the Package Lead – Process, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the full lifecycle of your project packages, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) in terms of safety, cost, schedule, and quality. This position serves as a key interface between the Owner’s project team, the engineering, procurement, and construction management (ePCM) partners, and other stakeholders. This role ensures continuity of leadership and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plans, objectives, budgets, and schedules specific to the Process area, while monitoring progress and performance in technical, administrative, and operational aspects.
- Coordinate priorities and resources across multiple project areas, including mining, processing, tailings, water, and site infrastructure, ensuring alignment with overall execution strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, such as the project team, technical partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, lead problem resolution, and escalate critical issues to the Area Manager as required.
- Step in to lead meetings, analyses, and decision-making processes in the absence of the Area Manager - Processing, while supporting functional leads in engineering, procurement, contracts, logistics, construction, and commissioning.
- Apply governance protocols and prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and recommendations to optimize project delivery.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mining or industrial project management.
- Degree in a relevant discipline (engineering is an asset) and highly recognized project management qualifications (PMP).
- In-depth understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction management processes related to defining strategy and execution plans.
- In-depth understanding of project controls processes related to generating cost, schedule, risk, and scope management information.
- Bilingual (ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders in both English and French).
- Strong leadership skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Working from the Montreal project office for the remainder of the design and planning phase, you will have access to a vibrant, modern workspace that will enable a high degree of collaboration with other leaders in the project
