· Reside within a 35-mile radius of Menominee Wastewater Treatment Facility.
· Strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, mechanical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. (e.g., automotive repair, HVAC, machining, welding, or similar trades).
· Ability to work a flexible schedule with availability for on-call emergency duties on a rotating basis.
· A valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.
· Ability to perform physical work, both indoor and outdoor, in all weather conditions.
· Most positions will require a clean driving record and criminal background check.
This is a full-time position that will include the management of the Menominee Wastewater treatment facility. Duties will include but are not limited to: sample collection and laboratory analysis, control of chemical, biological and mechanical processes, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance, tending and maintaining process equipment, maintaining records and reporting, general housekeeping, and grounds maintenance.
Qualified candidates will have wastewater management experience (or similar industry), a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently, as a team, and interact effectively with co-workers, clients, and the public. The successful candidate will have mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a physically demanding job that requires both indoor and outdoor work.
The starting wage for this position is $35.00 per hour, but will be based on certification and applicable experience.
